CPA — Public Practice | Red Deer, Alberta

Our client is seeking a qualified CPA with public practice experience to join their team in Red Deer, Alberta. This role is primarily compliance-focused and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with strong tax knowledge to take ownership of client engagements and deliver high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and complete a portfolio of compliance-focused accounting engagements.
• Prepare and review corporate and personal tax returns and related filings.
• Provide tax compliance support and identify relevant tax considerations for clients.
• Review financial information and ensure work is accurate and completed in accordance with applicable standards.
• Communicate with clients regarding tax and compliance matters.
• Meet engagement deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.
• Support other accounting and advisory requirements as appropriate.

Requirements

• CPA designation is required.
• Public practice accounting experience is required.
• Strong tax and compliance experience.
• Solid understanding of Canadian accounting and taxation principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong client service and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines effectively.
• Assurance experience would be considered an asset, but is not required.
