New CPA and Experienced CPA Full Time

Our client is expanding its accounting team in central Alberta and is seeking two CPAs at different stages of their careers: a newly qualified CPA with file preparation experience, and a seasoned CPA interested in a potential partnership opportunity.

The Opportunity

This is a chance to build a career in public practice within a collaborative, client-focused environment. The newer role offers hands-on exposure to a broad range of files, while the senior role offers a path toward long-term ownership and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for a range of clients
• Assemble and organize working paper files in line with professional standards
• Maintain accurate, well-documented client files
• Communicate with clients to gather information and answer queries
• Support compliance and filing deadlines throughout the year
• Senior role: review work prepared by others and support the development of the team
• Senior role: contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the practice

Candidate Criteria

• CPA designation (or newly qualified CPA for the entry-level position)
• Experience in file preparation for the newer CPA role
• Senior role: substantial public practice experience and a genuine interest in partnership
• Strong attention to detail and sound technical knowledge
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
