Audit Senior / Audit Manager (Real Estate)

Our client is seeking experienced Audit Seniors and Managers with deep expertise in commercial real estate to support complex audit engagements across New York and Los Angeles. This opportunity is suited to professionals who understand the accounting, reporting, and operational considerations unique to real estate businesses and can contribute confidently at a senior level.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and perform audit engagements for commercial real estate clients.
• Plan audit procedures, assess risks, and evaluate internal controls.
• Review financial statements, supporting schedules, and complex account balances.
• Analyze real estate-related transactions, investments, and financial reporting matters.
• Supervise and review the work of staff accountants and audit team members.
• Communicate audit findings, recommendations, and technical matters to client contacts.
• Assist with engagement planning, budgeting, scheduling, and completion.
• Support managers and partners with complex accounting and audit matters.

Key Requirements

• Significant public accounting audit experience.
• Deep commercial real estate industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and auditing principles.
• Experience working with complex real estate entities and transactions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred.

Location: New York and Los Angeles

Salary Range: depending on experience, qualifications and location.

Audit Senior — New York City range: $95,000 – $135,000 base

Audit Senior — Los Angeles range: $90,000 – $130,000 base

Audit Manager — New York City range: $140,000 – $185,000 base

Audit Manager — Los Angeles range: $135,000 – $175,000 base
