Requirements include:
- Degree in Engineering, Building Science, Architecture, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in building assessments, reserve fund studies, or a similar role.
- Professional designations (e.g., P.Eng., CET, PMP, RRO) are highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of building systems, lifecycle analysis, and property management challenges.
- Exceptional communication and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency with tools such as Excel, AutoCAD, and specialized building assessment software.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for site visits.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough Building Condition Assessments to identify maintenance and repair needs.
- Prepare and deliver Reserve Fund Studies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Analyze structural, mechanical, electrical, and envelope systems to provide actionable recommendations.
- Perform site inspections, collect data, and document findings using advanced assessment tools.
- Develop clear, professional reports tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate with property owners, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals and outcomes.
- Keep current with local building codes and standards to ensure the highest level of service.
