Design Engineer – Water Resources Full Time
Our client is seeking a Water Resources Design Engineer with 5–10 years of professional experience to join their team in Richmond, Virginia. This opportunity is ideal for an engineer with a strong background in water resources design who can contribute to a variety of civil and infrastructure projects. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop water resources and civil engineering designs for a range of projects.
- Prepare engineering plans, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Perform hydraulic and hydrologic analysis as required.
- Support stormwater management, drainage, and related water resources projects.
- Coordinate designs with project managers, engineers, surveyors, and other disciplines.
- Review plans and technical documents for accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- Assist with project development from preliminary design through construction documentation.
- Communicate technical information effectively with clients and project teams.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of professional engineering experience.
- Strong background in water resources and civil engineering design.
- Experience with drainage, stormwater, hydrology, hydraulics, or related infrastructure.
- PE license preferred.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple project requirements and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
