Our client is seeking an experienced public accounting tax professional to take on a senior role focused on tax compliance and planning for closely held businesses and individuals. This position offers the opportunity to apply extensive tax experience while working directly with clients across a range of complex tax matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and/or prepare income tax return compliance engagements.
- Provide tax planning support for firm clients.
- Work with closely held, private businesses and their owners.
- Apply current federal tax knowledge to C Corporations, S Corporations, and Partnerships.
- Prepare and review individual income tax returns.
- Work directly with clients and discuss tax matters based on previous professional experience.
- Support a broad range of tax compliance and planning requirements.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 8 years of public accounting experience.
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing income tax returns.
- Strong understanding of recent federal tax laws.
- Experience with closely held, private businesses.
- Knowledge of C Corporation, S Corporation, and Partnership taxation.
- Strong understanding of individual taxation.
- Experience with complex trusts and estates is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and apply practical tax knowledge.
