We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Department Manager to lead and grow a Geotechnical Engineering team in Portland, OR. In this leadership role, you will oversee project management, client relations, and technical development, while ensuring the successful delivery of geotechnical investigations and recommendations for a variety of infrastructure projects.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
- PE License (required).
- 8+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in geotechnical investigations, site characterization, and foundation design.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Geotechnical Engineering team, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Oversee geotechnical investigations, site evaluations, and foundation design for infrastructure projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for multiple projects.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
- Review and approve technical reports, proposals, and design recommendations.
