Our client is looking for Geotechnical Engineers to join an onsite team in Sandy, Utah. If you enjoy turning subsurface data into sound engineering decisions, this role puts your skills to direct use.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and carry out geotechnical investigations, including site reconnaissance, subsurface exploration and sampling
- Analyze soil and rock data to assess bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability and related design considerations
- Prepare geotechnical reports, recommendations and supporting calculations
- Support foundation, earthwork and retaining structure design
- Coordinate with project teams, clients and field personnel on technical requirements
- Review work for accuracy, quality and compliance with applicable codes and standards
Key Requirements
- Degree in civil or geotechnical engineering, or a closely related discipline
- Working knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering and geotechnical analysis principles
- Ability to interpret field and laboratory data
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work onsite in Sandy, Utah
