Project Manager – Land Development Full Time
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with 10+ years of professional experience to lead private-sector land development projects in Palmer. This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer with a strong background in managing civil engineering projects from planning and design through approvals and completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage private-sector land development projects from initial planning through construction.
- Lead project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
- Develop and oversee civil engineering plans, designs, calculations, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with clients, developers, contractors, architects, surveyors, municipalities, and other consultants.
- Manage permitting, approvals, and regulatory requirements.
- Review project plans and technical deliverables for quality, accuracy, and compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and practical solutions to project challenges.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule, budget, and design issues.
- Participate in client meetings and maintain strong project relationships.
- Mentor and provide direction to engineers and other project team members.
- Support projects through construction and respond to technical questions as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of professional engineering experience.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Proven experience managing private-sector land development projects is essential.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering design and land development practices.
- Experience coordinating permitting and approvals is preferred.
- Strong understanding of applicable codes, regulations, and engineering standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
- Experience with relevant civil engineering design and CAD software preferred.
