Senior/Principal Resource Geologist NEW

Our client is seeking a Senior/Principal Resource Geologist to join a multidisciplinary consulting team in Toronto. This is a senior technical opportunity focused on mineral resource estimation, technical reporting, due diligence, and client relationship development across a diverse range of mining projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to mineral resource estimation assignments.
• Prepare and review technical reports and resource-related documentation.
• Undertake technical due diligence and project reviews.
• Apply geostatistical techniques and computerized resource estimation tools.
• Develop and review 3D geological models and resource interpretations.
• Support projects across exploration and operational mining environments.
• Work independently while contributing to multidisciplinary project teams.
• Develop and maintain relationships with mining industry clients.
• Contribute to business development through established industry relationships and consulting expertise.
• Mentor junior consultants and support the development of technical capabilities within the team.
• Provide Qualified Person or equivalent expertise for applicable reporting requirements, including NI 43-101, JORC, and SAMREC.
• Participate in domestic and international projects, including travel where required.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Geology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of applied resource estimation experience in exploration or operational environments.
• Professional registration with APGO or PEO, or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Strong geostatistical skills and experience with computerized resource estimation tools.
• Sound understanding of ore deposit geology and 3D geological modelling.
• Experience with modern implicit modelling tools is beneficial.
• Knowledge of conditional simulation techniques is an asset.
• Established mining industry network.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous consulting experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Ability to act as a Qualified Person or equivalent under applicable reporting standards.

Compensation

Estimated base pay range: $120,000–$170,000+ annually.

In accordance with Ontario pay transparency requirements, the posted range reflects the maximum allowable range width. Compensation above this range may be considered based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
