Senior Structural Engineer Full Time

Join a steadfast team as a Senior Structural Engineer in Miami, West Palm Beach, Tallahassee, or Tampa, FL. This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated team of structural engineers working on impactful building projects across Florida. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in designing and managing the structural integrity of residential, commercial, and institutional buildings.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building design and construction.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, SAP2000, ETABS).
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and engineering principles.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects from concept through completion.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with safety and design standards.
• Ability to conduct site visits and collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Design and analyze structural systems for a variety of building projects, including residential, commercial, and institutional structures.
• Oversee project lifecycle, from initial concept through detailed design, permitting, and construction support.
• Ensure structural designs meet applicable codes, safety standards, and client requirements.
• Perform structural calculations, develop plans, and create construction documents.
• Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to achieve project objectives.
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address structural concerns or modifications as needed.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
• Review and approve submittals, RFI responses, and conduct quality control for ongoing projects.
