As a Senior Structural Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in designing and managing the structural integrity of residential, commercial, and institutional buildings.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building design and construction.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, SAP2000, ETABS).
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and engineering principles.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects from concept through completion.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with safety and design standards.
- Ability to conduct site visits and collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze structural systems for a variety of building projects, including residential, commercial, and institutional structures.
- Oversee project lifecycle, from initial concept through detailed design, permitting, and construction support.
- Ensure structural designs meet applicable codes, safety standards, and client requirements.
- Perform structural calculations, develop plans, and create construction documents.
- Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to achieve project objectives.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address structural concerns or modifications as needed.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
- Review and approve submittals, RFI responses, and conduct quality control for ongoing projects.
