Senior Structural Engineer / Project Manager Full Time

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer / Project Manager to join its team in Plantation, Florida. This opportunity is ideal for a senior-level professional who can combine strong structural engineering expertise with project leadership, client coordination, and successful delivery of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects from initial concept through completion.
• Develop and review structural designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership and engineering guidance to project teams.
• Coordinate structural designs with architects, contractors, consultants, and other disciplines.
• Review construction documents and resolve technical issues during project delivery.
• Conduct site visits and evaluate existing structural conditions when required.
• Communicate directly with clients to understand project requirements and provide engineering solutions.
• Perform quality control reviews of calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Mentor and support junior and intermediate engineering staff.
• Ensure projects meet applicable building codes, standards, and professional engineering requirements.
• Identify project risks and develop practical solutions to keep assignments on track.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant structural engineering experience with demonstrated project leadership.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of structural design principles, codes, and construction practices.
• Experience with structural systems such as concrete, steel, masonry, or other building materials.
• Previous project management experience strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with structural design and analysis software is preferred.
