Senior Tax Accountant
Our client is a California-based accounting firm focused exclusively on dental and medical practices. They are seeking a sharp, technically strong Senior Tax Accountant who takes pride in accuracy, embraces modern technology, and understands California taxation at a high level.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review S corporation and individual tax returns
- Ensure full California, federal, and local tax compliance
- Audit and review client books to ensure financials are accurate and tax-ready
- Oversee general ledger activity and month-end/year-end close processes
- Perform quality control reviews of financial transactions and reporting
- Manage applicable local, state, and federal filing requirements
- Work with clients who typically have S corporations, individual returns, and multiple K-1s
- Leverage accounting technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and quality
What Our Client Is Looking For
- Strong, practical knowledge of California tax law
- Proven experience preparing S corporation and individual tax returns in public accounting
- Experience working within a mid-size public accounting environment
- Strong ability to review and clean up books before tax filing
- Solid accounting fundamentals and attention to detail
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Comfortable working with modern accounting technology and AI tools
- A hands-on approach and genuine commitment to producing high-quality work
Compensation & Benefits
- $100,000–$110,000 base salary, commensurate with experience
- Performance-based bonus
