Staff Auditor

Our client is seeking a motivated Staff Auditor to join its team in Warwick, Rhode Island. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to build a strong foundation in audit, develop technical skills, and gain valuable experience working with clients and engagement teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion
• Perform audit procedures and document findings in accordance with professional standards
• Prepare and maintain accurate audit workpapers
• Assist with testing financial information and supporting documentation
• Identify discrepancies or unusual items and communicate findings to senior team members
• Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements
• Communicate professionally with clients to obtain information and documentation
• Work collaboratively with senior team members and contribute to meeting engagement deadlines

What Our Client Is Looking For

• Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Previous audit or public accounting experience is an advantage
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Willingness to learn and develop within a professional accounting environment
