Our client is looking for an accomplished Structural Engineer to join their Dallas-based operation. This position is designed for an experienced professional who brings strong technical judgment, a practical approach to structural design, and the ability to take responsibility for projects from concept through delivery.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will play an important role in producing high-quality structural engineering solutions while working closely with multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders.
Key Duties
- Lead structural design and analysis activities on a variety of projects.
- Produce and assess engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Apply sound engineering judgment to develop practical and cost-effective structural solutions.
- Coordinate structural designs with architectural, civil, MEP, and other disciplines.
- Review project documentation and technical deliverables.
- Assist with project execution, technical coordination, and client communication.
- Investigate structural issues and provide appropriate engineering recommendations.
- Support the development of junior engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 10 years of professional structural engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong structural analysis and design capability.
- Knowledge of U.S. structural engineering codes and standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage responsibilities independently and work collaboratively across project teams.
- PE registration is advantageous.
