Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Structural Engineer with 8+ years’ experience to join their team in Los Angeles, California. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of water and wastewater structures. This is an excellent opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects and to contribute to the development of sustainable water and wastewater systems in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
Requirements include:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of California.
• 8+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on the design of water and wastewater structures.
• Strong understanding of structural analysis, design, and construction principles.
• Proficiency in using industry-standard software, such as STAAD, SAP2000, and AutoCAD.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
• Design water and wastewater treatment structures, including tanks, basins, and buildings, using advanced structural analysis and design techniques.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers to develop comprehensive project plans.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports for clients and regulatory agencies.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and building codes.
• Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams during the implementation phase.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments, building codes, and best practices in structural engineering.
