Our client is seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager to join its team in Boston, Massachusetts. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer with 6–10 years of experience who can lead structural projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions. Experience working on projects in the Boston market is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage structural engineering projects from concept through completion.
- Lead project teams, coordinating schedules, budgets, scope, and deliverables.
- Perform and oversee structural analysis, design, and engineering calculations.
- Review structural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines.
- Communicate directly with clients to understand project requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Conduct site visits and provide engineering support during construction as required.
- Perform quality control reviews of project calculations and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule, budget, and technical challenges.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers and other project staff.
- Ensure work complies with applicable building codes, standards, and professional engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 6–10 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Demonstrated experience managing structural engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural design principles, analysis, and construction practices.
- Experience with structural systems such as steel, concrete, masonry, or timber.
- Boston-area project experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- Proficiency with relevant structural design, analysis, and CAD software preferred.
