Tax Principal

Atlanta, GA, Brentwood, TN, & Tampa, FL

Our client is looking for a senior tax leader with the experience and commercial insight to oversee sophisticated tax engagements while developing lasting client partnerships. The Tax Principal will combine technical tax expertise with team leadership, client advisory, and business development responsibilities.

The Role

• Oversee tax compliance, planning, and consulting services for a diverse client portfolio.
• Lead complex client engagements and ensure projects are delivered effectively and on schedule.
• Provide strategic advice on a broad range of tax matters.
• Review complex tax returns and ensure appropriate compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Develop and mentor tax professionals and subject matter experts.
• Establish trusted advisor relationships with clients and understand their evolving needs.
• Cultivate existing accounts and identify opportunities to expand client relationships.
• Participate in the development of new business opportunities.
• Deliver practical and innovative solutions to complex client challenges.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of tax experience in public accounting, consulting, or a comparable industry leadership role.
• CPA, EA, or another recognized professional certification required.
• Experience with 990s, partnerships, S corporations, and individual tax returns preferred.
• Strong project-management and relationship-development capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and client-service skills.
• Strategic and analytical mindset with strong conceptual and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and team-development experience.
• Relevant industry experience in healthcare, financial institutions, real estate, professional services, or manufacturing is a plus.
