Water Engineer Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Engineer/Project Engineer with 4-7 years of experience in the consulting engineering industry to join a well-established firm in Marlborough, MA. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design and management of municipal water systems, along with strong technical and project management skills.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• 4-7 years of experience in consulting engineering, with a focus on municipal water systems design
• Registered Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in the State of Massachusetts or ability to obtain through reciprocity
• Proven experience managing projects for municipal water clients, from design through construction
• Strong technical skills and proficiency in relevant engineering software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities:

• Design and manage municipal water systems projects from inception through construction
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success
• Develop and review technical reports, plans, and specifications for water system designs
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and staff
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project compliance with designs and safety standards
• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
• Ensure all projects meet local, state, and federal regulations and standards
