Audit Specialist

Our client is seeking an experienced Audit Specialist with at least three years of relevant experience to support high-quality audit and assurance engagements. This opportunity is well suited to a detail-oriented accounting professional who can work independently, analyze financial information, and contribute effectively to client engagements.

Salary: $75,000–$125,000 per year, plus bonus, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform audit procedures and testing across assigned engagements.
• Prepare clear and well-organized audit workpapers and supporting documentation.
• Analyze financial records, account balances, and transactions.
• Assist with evaluating internal controls and identifying potential issues.
• Review financial statements and supporting schedules for accuracy and completeness.
• Investigate discrepancies and communicate findings to senior team members.
• Work with clients to obtain required records and information.
• Assist with audit planning, fieldwork, and engagement completion.
• Research accounting and auditing matters when required.
• Maintain compliance with applicable professional standards and firm procedures.
• Work collaboratively with audit teams to meet engagement deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant audit experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and auditing practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Public accounting experience is advantageous.
• CPA license or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
