Construction Engineering Project Manager Full Time NEW

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Engineering Project Manager to help contractors deliver complex building projects safely, efficiently, and to demanding schedules. This role is suited to a structural engineer with practical Construction Engineering experience and a strong interest in working directly with contractors on challenging projects.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in areas such as excavation shoring, building underpinning, steel erection engineering, connection design, anchorage, bracing, heavy lifts, or construction-phase support.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage Construction Engineering projects.
• Lead assignments involving steel erection engineering, excavation shoring, connection design, heavy lift engineering, and contractor support.
• Support the growth and development of the Construction Engineering practice within the applicable office region.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors and subcontractors.
• Develop a sustainable pipeline of Construction Engineering opportunities.
• Prepare structural construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Oversee bidding and construction administration activities.
• Supervise engineers, designers, and BIM staff involved in project delivery.
• Mentor junior staff and support their technical and professional development.
• Prepare proposals covering project scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Maintain close client relationships throughout project development, execution, and completion.
• Support business development strategies and generate new project opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Masters degree preferred.
• 8–12 years of relevant professional experience.
• California Civil Engineering license required.
• California Structural Engineer registration preferred.
• Construction Means and Methods Engineering experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience supervising and mentoring staff.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience contributing to business development and professional networking.
• Strong communication, project management, and technical problem-solving skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Revit.
• Knowledge of Tekla software.
• Active participation in professional or client-based activities.
• Established relationships within the construction industry.

Compensation

$153,000–$190,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on location, geographic differentials, education, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
