Senior Geotechnical Engineer Full Time

We are currently recruiting a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with 15+ years of experience to join a well-established firm based in Portland, OR. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead impactful geotechnical projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure.

Requirements include:

• 15+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Strong expertise in geotechnical investigations, foundation design, and soil analysis
• Experience in managing projects and teams, with excellent leadership skills
• Strong communication and client management skills
• Ability to mentor and develop junior engineering staff
• Proficiency in geotechnical software and design tools
• Knowledge of local geology and environmental regulations in the Portland area

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage geotechnical investigations, designs, and analyses for a variety of projects
• Provide technical expertise in geotechnical engineering for both new and ongoing projects
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and staff, promoting their professional development
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Prepare geotechnical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards
• Oversee field testing, site assessments, and drilling operations
• Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure successful project completion
